The documentary is about the Indian style martial arts ‘Kalaripayat’, which is said to be the source of all Eastern martial arts.
It was shot in Kerala, South India in the beginning of 2007 and features the different aspects of the art, such as the connection with Ayurveda and massage therapy, the four levels of the style, the weaponry, but it also touches upon subjects such as the place of women within Kalaripayat, the aspect of religion and the question of wether or not keeping the art form pure.
